The annual Denim to Diamonds Dinner and Auction is the biggest fundraising event for our program that operates with an all volunteer staff and careful stretching of each dollar. In addition to raising necessary funds, the event provides a wonderful culmination of the year’s efforts and accomplishments in a festive, joyful atmosphere. A delicious buffet precedes the live and silent auctions (offering a large variety of enticing prizes). We even have a fabulous dessert auction! It’s a perfect way to celebrate a great year of riding and enter the holiday season. All the money raised directly supports the program and its horses, thus allowing people with disabilities the opportunity to ride at an affordable cost.
DENIM TO DIAMONDS '13
A fabulous evening at Denim to Diamonds '13 crowned our 20th Year Celebration of NWTRC, raising over $35,000. This was also our 10th dinner/auction so we really did it up this year. The Elks Club never looked better - the dinner tables were lovely, auction items were plentiful and well received, and the hand blown pumpkins (gratis Pablo Glass) went like hotcakes. Speaking of food, our own chefs created a sumptuous buffet – wonderful salmon, chicken and trimmings. The always-popular Dessert Dash with over 20 delicacies was another highlight.
A 20-year retrospective slide show reminded everyone of the valuable work we've done. We also presented a picture book of memories to Director Julia and Mike Bozzo, commemorating the occasion.
Foremost, we sincerely thank everyone involved for helping to create the most successful event ever - our most generous guests, our fantastic volunteers, our great (if small) staff, a wonderful Board of Directors, the long list of donors who so kindly gave items and gift certificates galore. We are truly grateful and touched by your continued support in helping us create a premier accredited therapeutic riding center with award-winning horses.
A giant thanks to all who contributed in making this event such a grand success. We will mark our 10th annual DtoD in '13 and will strive to make it even better! Hope to see you there!
